SOPRALENE® 250 FR GR HC SKU: 01957

SOPRALENE 250 FR GR HC (fire retardant, granulated, hybrid cap) is an SBS modified bitumen cap ply for use in approved multi-ply membrane and flashing assemblies. SOPRALENE 250 FR GR HC is composed of a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen and is reinforced with tough, dimensionally stable non-woven polyester mat specifically designed for use as a cap sheet over built up roofing. The topside is surfaced with ceramic coated granules and the underside is surfaced with fine mineral aggregate to facilitate cold adhesive application.

Installation

Prior to installation, unroll SOPRALENE 250 FR GR HC onto the roof surface and allow to relax. Place SOPRALENE 250 FR GR HC in desired position and back roll the product. Apply approved cold adhesive following manufacturer specifications. SOPRALENE 250 FR GR HC is then rolled into the cold adhesive and rolled with a weighted roller. Potomac Transportation Center – Dumfries, Virginia

To stay proactive, The Potomac Transportation Center, part of the Prince William County Public Schools, decided to apply a protective coating to their rooftop.
