American Hospitality Group, Inc. has managed hotel properties since 2000 when it opened its first Holiday Inn Express. Their latest project includes construction on a four-story, 92-room Holiday Inn Express in Medina, Ohio. The hotel is being built to the all new prototype specifications for the Holiday Inn Express brand and will include an indoor pool and extensive fitness center.
SOPREMA®’s SOPRASEAL® Stick VP self-adhered vapor-permeable air barrier membrane was installed to ensure a continuous air barrier with no moisture infiltration for this wall assembly requiring a “breathable” characteristic. It creates a solid barrier against air infiltration and exfiltration, which minimizes associated energy loss and condensation problems. This labor saving material typically requires no priming or fasteners, and allows for easy handling and installation. SOPRASEAL Stick 1100T was installed as a transition flashing membrane at doors, windows and penetrations. The underside consists of a self-adhered bitumen layer protected by a release paper.
