In 2015, Assurant, a risk management solutions company, was in need of a full re-roof on their 92,180 square foot building. When searching for a roofing solution that met all codes and requirements, it was decided that a modified bitumen three ply roof system with a SOPRASTAR® cap ply would replace the existing roof. The SOPRASTAR® cap ply membrane easily met both the Miami-Dade code and Factory Mutual (FM) guidelines, making it one less concern.
To complete this project Best Roofing had to overcome many challenges. Not only was the project to be completed at night during the rainy season, it was also on a roof that had a base sheet anchored to the structural concrete deck with challenging sheet metal details. Even with all these challenges, the project was completed and now this roof promises to protect the building for many years to come.
