COLPHENE® H SKU: W602

COLPHENE H is a hot applied, rubberized asphalt composed of a select blend of refined asphalts, recycled rubber and inert extenders. COLPHENE H is used in horizontal and vertical waterproofing of plazas, podiums, decks, planters, tunnels, underground vaults, bridges, foundation walls, garden roofs and parking garages. COLPHENE H is also used in IRMA configurations.

Installation

Bring COLPHENE H to a consistent temperature of 350°F to 400°F (176.6°C to 204.4°C), paying close attention to not overheat. COLPHENE H is then applied to approved, compatible substrates using a flat blade squeegee. Refer to SOPREMA’s specifications and installation instructions for additional application guidelines.

Denver Union Station – Denver, Colorado

When the Denver Union Station was to go through a remodel, SOPREMA’s COLPHENE® BSW product was selected to waterproof the building.
In 2011, SOPREMA met the challenges of waterproofing the building envelope with the COLPHENE BSW system to ensure a seamless watertight solution. Over 170,000 sq ft of COLPHENE BSW was used as a waterproofing membrane.

Parkland Hospital – Dallas, Texas

The new hospital featured flat rooftops at multiple levels that all needed to be made watertight for decades to come. The roofing system needed to be designed in a way that accounted for a helipad, consistent rooftop traffic, extensive rooftop equipment, lightwells and various utility platforms. A lot stood in the way of Anchor Roofing, the installer, but the meticulous planning for the project meant that all contingencies had been considered by the time application of the waterproofing system began.
