LASTOBOND® SHIELD HT SKU: 10510
LASTOBOND SHIELD HT (high temperature) is a SBS-modified bitumen underlayment for use in approved steep-slope assemblies. LASTOBOND SHIELD HT is composed of a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen in combination with high tack self-adhesive.
Product Properties
- Overlying Materials None
- Thickness 40 mils (1.0 mm)
- Topside Polyethylene Film
Installation
Prior to installation, unroll LASTOBOND SHIELD HT onto the roof surface and allow to relax. Place LASTOBOND SHIELD HT in desired position. Once positioned, firmly hold the membrane in place and remove the silicone release film. For best results, slowly peel film backing away at an angle. Roll LASTOBOND SHIELD HT into place with a weighted roller to ensure positive adhesion.

Because of the uneven surface of the remaining embedded aggregate, SOPRAROCK® was chosen knowing that this board would conform to the uneven surface much better than a rigid coverboard could. This idea spawned another....”why not use SOPRASMART® XP”; and allow one application step instead of two. The project was capped off with SOPRALENE® 180 FR GR, in COLPLY® Adhesive.

SOPREMA®’s SOPRASEAL® Stick VP self-adhered vapor-permeable air barrier membrane was installed to ensure a continuous air barrier with no moisture infiltration for this wall assembly requiring a “breathable” characteristic. It creates a solid barrier against air infiltration and exfiltration, which minimizes associated energy loss and condensation problems.
