2-1 SOPRASMART ROCK

2-1 SOPRASMART ROCK is a high performance panel composed of an SBS-modified bitumen base membrane and SOPRAROCK high density mineral wool board. The 2-1 SOPRASMART ROCK is designed for use in approved multi-ply roof membrane assemblies.

Installation

Prior to installation, unfold 2-1 SOPRASMART ROCK onto the roof surface and allow to relax. 2-1 SOPRASMART ROCK is installed via mechanical fastening or hot asphalt following manufacturer specifications. When installing via mechanical fastening, 2-1 SOPRASMART ROCK is fastened through the patented DUO SELVEDGE lap following the details for the uplift pressure required.

Carrick High School – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

In 2017, Carrick High School’s roof was ready to be replaced. It was decided the best option was to tear off the previous roof and start fresh. American Airlines Center – Dallas, Texas

On March 21, 2022, a leaky roof on Dallas' American Airlines Center delayed the start of an NBA game between the hometown Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves, and after the issue surfaced again a couple months later to interfere with a Mavs playoff game, quick action was needed to replace the building's 20-year-old roof.
