Green Roofs: A Solution That Benefits Everyone

Green roof systems

The Extensive Roof System is designed for lightweight vegetated roofing projects that are typically 3”-6” of media depth. There are a variety of vegetation options that include sedums, herbs and low maintenance plants. They do not typically require a full irrigation system.

The Semi-Intensive Roof System is designed to increase stormwater management capabilities, and projects are typically 6”1-2” of media depth. This system allows for additional plant diversity including small herbs, grasses and some flowers. It also requires more maintenance and regular irrigation.

The Intensive Roof System is designed for full roof landscape projects and is typically 12” or greater in media depth. This system requires frequent maintenance and an irrigation system. It adds usable amenity space to the building and is able to retain the most stormwater.

The Modular System is designed for smaller difficult to access projects that typically have 4”-6” of media depth. There are a variety of vegetation options that include sedums, herbs and low maintenance plants. This system does not typically require a full irrigation system.
