SENTINEL®
High-performance thermoplastic membranes
SENTINEL products are designed to offer a high-performance roofing options, with proven fire and chemical resistance, that enhance sustainability through their durability and energy demand mitigation. The SENTINEL product line consists of two basic formula options:
- SENTINEL Membranes – Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
- SENTINEL KEE Membranes – Ketone Ethylene Ester (KEE)
Along with membranes, SENTINEL offers a robust range of accessories to help finish corners, flashings and other seams, along with specialized adhesives to help ensure decades of service.
BENEFITS
- Bright white, reflective membranes – aiding in building cooling, reducing energy demand, and mitigating the urban heat island effect
- Available in a variety of configurations including bare and fleece backed membranes, in both 60 and 80 mil thicknesses, for use in mechanically fastened and adhered applications
- Formulated with no virgin materials on both the top and bottom layers, resulting in longer life expectancy and superior welding at the most critical membrane junctures, i.e., the overlaps (only applicable to the SENTINEL PVC line)
- Manufactured to provide minimum, not nominal, tolerances; minimum 60 mils total thickness and a minimum 30 mils above the reinforcement
SENTINEL membranes help roofs reflect sunlight while also cooling themselves by efficiently emitting any heat absorbed. The roofs literally stay cooler and reduce the amount of heat conducted into the building below. If a building does not have air conditioning, this keeps the building cooler and a more constant temperature. If a building has air conditioning, the equipment does not have to work as hard.

A COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY
Unique on the market, the Mammouth SOPRANATURE Warranty provides peace of mind to building owners who invest in a vegetated roof system.
This warranty is available for roofs that are covered by SOPREMA’s Mammouth Platinum Warranty. The Mammouth Platinum Warranty covers the materials and labour of the waterproofing assembly, while the Mammouth SOPRANATURE Warranty covers the replacement of the SOPRANATURE vegetated system components provided by SOPREMA.
Under this warranty, if corrective action is required due to water infiltration covered by the Mammouth Platinum Warranty, SOPREMA will provide the owner with the materials and labour to remove and reinstall the SOPRANATURE vegetated system.

Three stories above asphalt roads and traffic, the MEC employees walk out onto a beautiful rooftop patio and are surrounded by a natural green garden. They can then take a refreshing break away from the busy store environment. Our green roofs are like a private park; the staff can even choose fruits or vegetables to plant! Many don’t realize that a green roof also reduces the contribution of heat built-up by the sea of roofs of the city, and this terrace is simply watered using collected rainwater.
The green roofs of the Pierre-Lassonde Building are where art and nature meet. Seen from above, they give the impression that the building grew naturally between the city and the park. Few people know that the 90,000 plants growing on these roofs reflect the curves of the surrounding terrain and change colours with the seasons, just like the flora of the Battlefields Park. From the Contemporary Art Room on the second floor, visitors can enjoy a sweeping view of the green roof and the garden; on the third floor, they can even extend their visit by enjoying the outdoor terrace. Come, unwind and contemplate our green roofs; it’s a natural way to recharge your batteries.
The Port of Montréal’s Grand Quay, designed in collaboration with Provencher Roy Architectes, is now able to accommodate a growing number of cruise ships. Montrealers, cruise passengers and tourists can now enjoy contemporary infrastructure and public spaces that reflect this iconic location. The landscaping project highlights the richness of the industrial heritage through connections with existing structures. The green roof allows flexibility of use and puts forward the principles of ecological planning, while offering a unique viewpoint over the river, the islands and the city.
