Installation

DUOTACK SPF HFO Adhesive should be applied to approved substrates free of oil, grease and other contaminants. To adhere SENTINEL HFB (Heavy Fleece Back) membranes, DUOTACK SPF HFO Adhesive should be applied using a spatter application. Apply the adhesive to 55-65% of the substrate, which yields an approximate coverage rate of 30 squares per kit. The membrane is then rolled and broomed into place prior to curing.

To adhere insulation and coverboard, DUOTACK SPF HFO Adhesive should be applied in a ribbon application at 2.5 in wide beads, spaced at 12 in apart. Maximum spacing for
ribbons is 12 in on center, which yields approximately 35 squares per kit. Spacing 4 in or 6 in on center may be used on the perimeter and in corners. Decreased spacing of the ribbons will result in reduced coverage rates.

Product open time can range from 1-10 minutes depending on ambient air and substrate temperatures. The ambient air temperature should be between 40-100°F (5-38°C).

Refer to the SENTINEL PVC Technical Manual for additional application guidelines.

PGA of America Headquarters – Frisco, Texas

The PGA of America’s new facility is far more than just a headquarters building – PGA members, associates and staff refer to it as “home.” There’s plenty of substance behind that choice of labeling too. After all, what golfer wouldn’t feel at home in a facility that boasts an education center with advanced coaching facilities, an indoor short game practice area, 11 standard and four simulated hitting bays, and a practice green wired with motion-capture sensors? The creatively-designed space is illuminated largely by sunlight, and even includes a large video screen near the main entrance that uses RFID technology to welcome members by name.

Fourth Avenue Junior High School – Yuma, Arizona

The building that the Fourth Avenue Junior High resides in was built in 1920 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1982. When the building required a re-cover roof project, its National Historic Landmark status and student safety was top priority. Due to its history and age, care needed to be taken when completing the project. The products installed were required to be odor-less and could not damage the building. A second requirement for the project was that it be completed quickly and without lingering odors, because they planned to complete the installation over their holiday break. This is where SOPREMA products came into play.
