Fayetteville Area System of Transit Multimodal Project – Fayetteville, North Carolina

In July 2012, the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina was awarded a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant for $8 million. It is the largest FTA bus livability program grant to be awarded in North Carolina and will be used to construct a multimodal transit center in downtown Fayetteville. Construction began on the center in early 2015 and it is slated to open summer 2016.

The original design selected for the center left the project over budget, so the contractor and architect had to go back to the drawing board. After researching additional options, both Baker Roofing and Gantt Huberman Architects felt very comfortable with SOPREMA’s proven history and the ability to meet the Buy American requirement, so they selected SOPREMA’s SENTINEL® PVC roofing line for the project.
