The Northwest Wine Academy is the first and only working and teaching winery of its kind in Western Washington. Students who attend the academy can select from degree programs including winemaking, wine marketing and sales, and food and wine pairing. All the wines that are created at the academy are produced by their very own winemaking students. Their marketing and tasting room events are managed by the marketing students attending the school. The programs are designed for students who are just starting out in the wine industry and for those who are looking to expand their knowledge and skills.
In 2017, the Northwest Wine Academy was in need of a new retrofit roofing project. The retrofit was to take place over the existing metal roof covering 10,735 square feet and was to be installed by Axiom Division 7. To complete the project, SOPREMA’s SENTINEL® P150 HFB Copper Art was selected as the main roofing membrane. The insulation was installed using DUOTACK® 365 and to complete the project, SENTINEL S Bonding Adhesive was used for the flashing details. The SOPREMA was selected for this project because of the previous relationship with Osborn Architects.
