Connecting the 909 Walnut Tower and the 929 Walnut Building, is a new eight-story parking garage with an amenity on it’s roof most apartment owners could only dream of. Atop this new parking garage is a lush garden which will provide an outdoor and community space that most others in high rise living have to find at a nearby park.
The existing roof, comprised of layers of coal tar and felt, had water trapped within the system, and due to the exposure had exceeded its useful life. The building owners, concerned about their long-term investment, commissioned a study.
