SOPRALAP STICK SKU: 04086

SOPRALAP STICK is an SBS-modified bitumen cover strip for use with SOPRASMART Laminated Board products. SOPRALAP STICK is reinforced with a tough, dimensionally stable non-woven polyester mat that is saturated and coated on both sides with a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen.

Installation

Prior to installation, unroll SOPRALAP STICK onto the roof surface and allow to relax. SOPRASMART product must be primed with self-adhesive primer before installing SOPRALAP STICK. SOPRASMART Laminated Boards are butted end to end, with a membrane overlap of 1 inch. Place SOPRALAP STICK in desired position, centered over the board joint, and back roll the product. Remove the protective release film from the underside of the sheet and roll SOPRALAP STICK into place with a weighted roller.

Parkland Hospital – Dallas, Texas

The new hospital featured flat rooftops at multiple levels that all needed to be made watertight for decades to come. The roofing system needed to be designed in a way that accounted for a helipad, consistent rooftop traffic, extensive rooftop equipment, lightwells and various utility platforms.
