SOPRALAP Flam is an SBS-modified bitumen cover strip for use with SOPRASMART Laminated Board products. SOPRALAP Flam is reinforced with a tough, dimensionally stable non-woven polyester mat that is saturated and coated on both sides with a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen.

Installation
Prior to installation, unroll SOPRALAP Flam onto the roof surface and allow to relax. SOPRASMART Laminated Boards are butted end to end, with a membrane overlap of 1 inch. SOPRALAP Flam in desired position, centered over the board joint, and back roll the product. SOPRALAP Flam is then heat welded to approved substrates.

Northwest Wine Academy – Seattle, Washington
In 2017, the Northwest Wine Academy was in need of a new retrofit roofing project. The retrofit was to take place over the existing metal roof covering 10,735 square feet. To complete the project, SOPREMA’s SENTINEL® P150 HFB Copper Art was selected as the main roofing membrane.
Lancaster Material Distribution Center – Lancaster, Texas
In May 2017, the Lancaster Material Distribution Center needed a new roof. While the original SOPREMA asphalt system was in decent shape, it was nearly 25 years old and at the end of its life. Through value engineering, it was decided that the existing system would be left in place to save cost. SOPREMA products were selected to re-roof this project due to the proven durability of the existing roof. The system that was installed included ELASTOCOL® 500, COLVENT® Flam, ELASTOPHENE® Flam LS FR GR, SOPRALENE® Flam 180 and SOPRALENE Flam 180 FR GR.
