Installation

Thoroughly mix the coating before application. All surfaces must be dry and free of dirt, debris, algae, mildew, oil, talc, loose granules or any other foreign matter that may prohibit adhesion. Power-washing and/or priming surfaces may be necessary to enhance adhesion or limit asphalt bleed-through. ALSAN COATING SIL 402 can be applied using a brush, roller or airless spray equipment. ALSAN COATING SIL 402 is intended for use as a direct-bond, single-pass silicone roof coating. Apply at a minimum rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet for a minimum dry film thickness (DFT) of 22 mils. Application rates vary by project and warranty, please consult the Roof Coatings Technical Manual for full list of coverage rates and warranties. NOTE: ALSAN COATING SIL 402 is a moisture cure product. Once containers are open and exposed to the air, a skin will form on the material, which must be removed before use.

Please refer to the SOPREMA Roof Coatings Technical Manual for additional application guidelines.
