Installation

ALSAN Coating SIL 402 Flashing can be applied using a stiff brush, trowel or gloved hand typically in one application. Prior to starting application, perform an adhesion test on each surface type to ensure adequate bond can be achieved or if a primer or other specific surface preparation is required. Assure ambient and substrate temperatures remain above 40°F (4.4°C) and at or below 120°F (48.9°C) to assure proper application and curing. For cold weather application, store material above 65°F (18°C) before use.

NOTE: ALSAN Coating SIL 402 Flashing reacts with atmospheric moisture to cure. Once containers are open and exposed to the atmosphere, a skin will form on the material over time, which must be removed from the bulk material before use.

Please refer to the SOPREMA Roof Coatings Technical Manual for additional application guidelines.
