ELASTOPHENE® ULTRA-STICK SKU: 01435

ELASTOPHENE ULTRA-STICK is an SBS-modified bitumen, self-adhered base sheet for use in approved multi-ply membrane and flashing assemblies. ELASTOPHENE ULTRA-STICK is composed of a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen in combination with a specially formulated high tack self adhesive bottom layer and is reinforced with a high quality random glass fiber mat. The topside incorporates a unique surface film for promoting superior adhesion of subsequent plies and the underside is surfaced with a protective split back release film that is removed during application.

Installation

Prior to installation, unroll ELASTOPHENE ULTRA-STICK onto the roof surface and allow to relax. Place ELASTOPHENE ULTRA-STICK in desired position. Remove one side of the ELASTOPHENE ULTRA-STICK split back release film and use hand pressure to adhere exposed high tack bottom layer. Remove the other half of the ELASTOPHENE ULTRA-STICK’s release film and roll the entire surface of the sheet with a weighted roller. Subsequent approved cap ply membranes are applied to ELASTOPHENE ULTRA-STICK via self-adhered or heat welded application. Refer to the SOPREMA SBS Roofing Manual for additional application guidelines.

Northwest Wine Academy – Seattle, Washington

In 2017, the Northwest Wine Academy was in need of a new retrofit roofing project. The retrofit was to take place over the existing metal roof covering 10,735 square feet. To complete the project, SOPREMA’s SENTINEL® P150 HFB Copper Art was selected as the main roofing membrane.

Fourth Avenue Junior High School – Yuma, Arizona

The building that the Fourth Avenue Junior High resides in was built in 1920 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1982. When the building required a re-cover roof project, its National Historic Landmark status and student safety was top priority. Due to its history and age, care needed to be taken when completing the project. The products installed were required to be odor-less and could not damage the building. A second requirement for the project was that it be completed quickly and without lingering odors, because they planned to complete the installation over their holiday break. This is where SOPREMA products came into play.
