SOPRAFIX® BASE 613 SKU: 00423

SOPRAFIX® Base 613 is an SBS-modified bitumen base ply for use in approved multi-ply membrane and flashing assemblies and is designed specifically for mechanical attachment to approved substrates. SOPRAFIX Base 613 is composed of a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen and is reinforced with a tough, dimensionally stable non-woven polyester mat engineered for mechanical attachment. The topside and underside are surfaced with polyolefin burn-off film to optimize heat welding.

Product Properties

Installation

Prior to installation, unroll SOPRAFIX Base 613 onto the roof surface and allow to relax and remove wrinkles. Place SOPRAFIX Base 613 in desired position. SOPRAFIX Base 613 is mechanically fastened through the 5 inch side laps using the TRI-FIXX Fastening System. The side laps are then heat welded and rolled with a weighted roller. Subsequent approved inter-ply or cap ply membranes are applied to SOPRAFIX Base 613 via heat welding. Refer to the SOPREMA® SBS Roofing Manual for additional guidelines.

Potomac Transportation Center – Dumfries, Virginia

To stay proactive, The Potomac Transportation Center, part of the Prince William County Public Schools, decided to apply a protective coating to their rooftop.
