SOPRASEAL® STICK VP SKU: 21501

SOPRASEAL STICK VP is a lightweight 24-mil self-adhered, vapor-permeable, water-resistive air barrier used in wall construction. SOPRASEAL STICK VP is composed of a tough tri-laminate composite facer coated with a high-tack adhesive and protected with a silicone release film.

SOPRASEAL STICK VP is installed without the use of a primer as an air and vapor mitigating barrier on vertical masonry and concrete walls, as well as exterior gypsum wall board, metal, OSB and exterior grade plywood sheathing.

Installation

1. Apply SOPRASEAL STICK VP vertically to the wall by peeling back about 12 in of the release film from the back side of the roll and adhere the sheet to the substrate making sure it is well aligned.

2. Continue to gradually peel off the remaining release film while hand pressing the sheet to the wall making sure to adhere it completely and avoiding air pockets and wrinkles.

3. After each sheet is hand installed, use a hard rubber hand roller to apply pressure over the entire surface to ensure uniform and intimate contact with the substrate.

4. Overlapping of sheets in the field of the wall that run horizontally should be a minimum 3 in and overlaps that run vertically should be a minimum 3 in. Laps at window openings and other detailed areas with flashing products should be a minimum 3 in.
