COLPLY® EF FLASHING CEMENT SKU: A217

COLPLY® EF Flashing Cement is a high performance, single-component viscous cement for use with SBS-modified bitumen membrane flashing assemblies. Made with a unique solvent-free and ultra-low VOC material, COLPLY EF (environmentally friendly) allows for application flexibility on job sites where exposure to VOCs or odor may be a concern. COLPLY EF roof flashing cement has a polymer composition that, once cured, provides an additional layer of elastomeric waterproofing protection beneath or between membrane plies.

Installation

COLPLY EF Flashing Cement is applied to approved, compatible substrates using ¼ inch notched neoprene squeegees or trowels. Apply COLPLY EF Flashing Cement at 2 to 2.5 gallons per 100 square feet for sandsurfaced interply applications. The application rate over approved absorptive or rough substrate surfaces vary, requiring 2.5 gallons or more per 100 square feet. Specifically granulated surfaces require 4 to 5 gallons per 100 square feet. COLPLY EF Flashing Cement is applied to both the flashing ply and the substrate prior to placement of the flashing ply. When the ambient temperature is below 50°F (10°C), material should be warmed to a temperature of 70°F (24°C) at the time of application. Refer to SOPREMA® SBS Roofing Manual for additional application guidelines.

A very unique situation presented itself at the Yale School of Nursing. How to waterproof metal screen under complicated HVAC equipment while providing a new walkable surface? Fourth Avenue Junior High School – Yuma, Arizona

The building that the Fourth Avenue Junior High resides in was built in 1920 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1982. When the building required a re-cover roof project, its National Historic Landmark status and student safety was top priority. Due to its history and age, care needed to be taken when completing the project. The products installed were required to be odor-less and could not damage the building. A second requirement for the project was that it be completed quickly and without lingering odors, because they planned to complete the installation over their holiday break. This is where SOPREMA products came into play.
