The final assembly was designed to meet FM Approvals 1-90 wind uplift test and proves to protect the building for many years to come.
With a tight schedule to meet, Woodridge Middle School was relying on SOPREMA’s SENTINEL products to do the job. The previous shingle and PVC roof was replaced with SOPRA-ISO, and tan SENTINEL P150 HFB. The gutters were then lined with ALSAN RS 222 primer and ALSAN RS 230 Flash.
With a student population of over 24,000, the University of Oregon was in need of a new residence hall. When selecting an air barrier for the project, it was decided that SOPRASEAL® Stick VP and SOPRASOLIN® HD would be applied.
Multiple SOPREMA systems were installed on this 23,500 square foot project. From the COLPHENE H hot applied, rubberized asphalt system to the use of ALSAN RS for the complex details, there was a solution for every aspect of this project.
Because of the uneven surface of the remaining embedded aggregate, SOPRAROCK® was chosen knowing that this board would conform to the uneven surface much better than a rigid coverboard could. This idea spawned another....”why not use SOPRASMART® XP”; and allow one application step instead of two. The project was capped off with SOPRALENE® 180 FR GR, in COLPLY® Adhesive.
In 2015, Assurant, a risk management solutions company, was in need of a full re-roof on their 92,180 square foot building. When searching for a roofing solution that met all codes and requirements, it was decided that a modified bitumen three ply roof system with a SOPRASTAR® cap ply would replace the existing roof. The SOPRASTAR® cap ply membrane easily met both the Miami- Dade code and Factory Mutual (FM) guidelines, making it one less concern.
SOPREMA’s SOPRASEAL® Xpress G air and vapor barrier was ideal for this project. The exterior grade, inorganic faced gypsum board with an air and vapor barrier factory applied to the exterior surface, is the first and only ABAA evaluated assembly. SOPRASEAL® Xpress G boards are mechanically fastened to the structure using corrosion resistant SOPRASEAL® Xpress G Screws. A 6 inch self-adhered strip of SOPRASEAL® Stick 1100T is then installed over all board joints.
When looking for a quality roof system that would have minimal impact on everyday operations and overall budget, Wayne’s Roofing, Inc. selected SOPREMA’s SOPRASMART® product line. Not only was SOPRASMART® an affordable product, it also offered time and labor savings.
In 2015, the Placer County Water Agency took on a tear-off roofing project, in which SOPREMA products were used. SOPREMA was the right choice for this project because the breadth of products met the designer’s needs, including meeting California Title 24 energy efficiency standards with the use of ENERGY STAR® rated SOPRASTAR® Flam. Another appealing aspect was the versatility of SENTINEL® P150, which allowed coverage for the vertical walls throughout the roofing system.
SOPREMA was selected for this project because of the relationships built with the architect, consultant, and contractor. They chose to use DUOTACK® to adhere the insulation and SOPRABOARD® to the upper deck. SOPRALENE® Flam 180 was the selected base ply and was covered with a SOPRALENE® Flam 250 FR GR SG cap sheet. To further seal the roof, all penetrations were waterproofed with ALSAN® RS.
