American Airlines Trinity Campus – Fort Worth, Texas

When American Airlines, the world’s largest airline by fleet size, wanted to bring 12,000 employees together at a centralized location, it was a big job, to say the least. Developing an addition to American’s campus headquarters, a massive expansion of their original facilties from the 1950s, was a five-year process that carried a total price tag of $350 million dollars. The 90-acre plan (bringing the total campus size to over 300 acres) included tons of outdoor green space and was highlighted by a six-building office complex with four eight-story main buildings, flanking an amenity-packed cafeteria and town center.

Given the high-level of commitment required of numerous people and organizations across the project’s timeline, any materials used needed to help contractors meet a series of unique considerations in the project’s RFPs like “ability to persevere through the project’s long haul” and “ability to unify with American on its singular vision.” With that in mind, KPost Roofing & Waterproofing knew that SOPREMA products could deliver the scale and quality required to fulfill that promise. The all-encompassing system was topped by ELASTOPHENE® FLAM FR GR and SOPRALENE® FLAM FR GR featuring highly-reflective white granules that help save on energy costs while giving the finished facility an appearance worthy of the effort to complete it.
